Special Georgia Volunteer Meeting

11.11.20.jpg

On November 11, Nevada NOW hosted a special meeting with some amazing grassroots activists who are organizing in Georgia for the Senate runoff elections, which will decide who will control the Senate. Thank you so much to Kati Hornung of Vote Equality, Triana Arnold James, President of Georgia NOW, and Sharon J. Hill of The People’s Agenda.

We have until December 7 to register voters. Learn more about the Georgia U.S. Senate candidates at their websites (Reverend Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff).

We’ll need a majority in the U.S. Senate in order to pass progressive legislation and add the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution. Let’s help make this happen!

A recording of this meeting, along with all other past online meetings, can be found here.

A SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TO TAKE FOLLOWING THE 11/11/20 MEETING

GEORGIA ELECTIONS

  • We are fundraising to send $500 to Vote Equality in order to sponsor a fish fry, an event where volunteers will register voters in Georgia for the runoff election. We are so proud of the money we were able to raise for our local Nevada elections, and we hope to do the same for Georgia. To donate, click here. Any amount helps, and all donations are incredibly appreciated.
