After identifying our opportunities and threats, we are ready to create action teams. These teams will monitor federal and state legislation, attend key meetings, build relationships with policymakers, and work to hold our lawmakers accountable.

This session will help you increase your knowledge on how and when to advocate for your issues in the Finance and Ways and Means Committees. The event is cohosted by Nevada NOW and the State Innovation Exchange. We will be joined by Assemblyman Howard Watts III and Senator Rochelle Nguyen.

Their mission is to eradicate the educational inequities that Black and other girls of color experience. Ashley Bunton-Dodson is the founder and President of Lovee Inc., dedicated to empowering, motivating & uplifting women to new and exhilarating heights.

We will also be announcing some Nevada NOW PAC early endorsements and let you know ways to get involved with the Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom campaign and how to sign the petition for the ballot measure to enshrine the right to abortion in our state constitution.

Join us on January 28, 4pm on zoom to learn about three amazing advocates and their work in Nevada. Reproductive freedom is more than the right to a safe and legal abortion, it’s also a major factor in the movements for racial and economic equality. Each of our speakers work at critical intersections between reproductive justice, maternal care, health equity, community resources, and policy advocacy. We will have updates on the NV 4 Repro Freedom Ballot Measure from Luiza Benisano with Planned Parenthood Votes.
We will also be holding our 2024 NV NOW Board elections. Our elections are open to any current Nevada NOW member to run or vote for the board.
