Thanks to Janette Dean and all who joined us for our Special ERA Program! Nevada helped to reenergize the ERA movement when we ratified in 2017, and Nevada activists continue to be involved in the actions to make sure 2021 is the year the Equal Rights Amendment is added to the Constitution.

The 28th Amendment NOW ERA Committee has projects to let the new President, Vice President and Congressmembers know that We Support Constitutional Equality.

A SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TO TAKE FOLLOWING THE 1/17/21 MEETING

Advocating for The Equal Rights Amendment

  • Sign our petition asking President Biden, Vice President Harris and National Archivist, David Ferriero, to certify the full 38 states required for adoption of the ERA as the 28th Amendment to the US Constitution.

  • Fill out our postcards. We are asking the new administration to direct the National Archivist to certify Virginia’s ratification, thus reaching the required 38 states for passage of the 28th Amendment. Click here to learn how to participate in our postcard campaign.

  • Buy a mask from our ERA YES Mask project. ERA facemasks designed and sewn by life-long NOW Member Zoe Nicholson were inspired by the national impact of the ERA buttons and white outfits worn by the women Democrats at the 2020 State of the Union Address during the Suffrage Centennial of the ERA.

  • Donate to our 28th Amendment NOW ERA Campaign to help fund the ERA YES Mask project. We will be delivering our ERA masks to the Executive and Democrat Legislative Branch members, Cabinet Members and Media. The mask project will distribute ERA masks while encouraging them to wear them in public to remind everyone that Equal Rights is Unfinished Business.
